People are saying “makeup gives them confidence” like….the fuck? If your 12 year old has image issues and your solution is to tell them that makeup is something to cover insecurities you are part of the problem.
Yes, makeup can be used artistically and is cool, but it’s also an exploitative industry focused on making women’s bare faces socially unacceptable and denying that fact won’t make it less true.
